The vision of Michigan Space Grant Consortium is to foster awareness of, education in, and research on space-related science and technology in Michigan. Its mission is to create, develop, and promote programs that support our vision and reflect NASA’s strategic interests, and encourage cooperation between academia, industry, and state and local government in space-related science and technology. Our extensive suite of funding opportunities comprises research fellowships, NASA internships, and hands-on experiences for undergraduate and graduate students; research seed grants for higher education faculty; educational programs developed by faculty or nonprofits (museums, school systems, educational organizations, etc); and K12 educator professional development. Women, under-represented minorities, and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply. In a typical year, MSGC funding touches over 100 college-aged students, 50 higher education faculty, 100 K12 teachers, and 2500 K12 students. A donation of any amount would go far in inspiring the next generation and building a diverse STEM workforce for Michigan and beyond.
