The Virginia Space Grant Consortium (VSGC) acts as an umbrella organization, coordinating and developing quality aerospace-related, high technology STEM educational, workforce development and research efforts throughout the Commonwealth. VSGC serves as a catalyst for, and partner in, the enhancement of STEM education and research to foster an enhanced quality of life for Virginia. Projects include precollege student-focused programs, higher education scholarships, fellowships, and internships as well as educator professional development and faculty-mentored student research of interest to NASA. VSGC activities align with best practices including mission-driven authentic STEM experiences with an emphasis on participant diversity and inclusion. VSGC annually awards more than $350,000 in scholarships, fellowships, and internships to higher education students and more than 1,200 students participate in rigorous precollege student programs each year. VSGC areas of program emphasis include scholarships and fellowships, an extensive statewide internship program, student flight and design projects, immersive precollege enrichment programs often dual-enrolled for college credit, higher education curriculum and career pathways, workforce development in aviation, unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), cybersecurity and aerospace and early career faculty research of NASA relevance. Your generous donation will support VSGC to engage and inspire more students and diversify the future STEM workforce.
