In 1928, Frank Lloyd Wright began creating drawings for the San Marcos in the Desert Hotel that was to be in Chandler, AZ. The composition of this globe stand is adapted from the 60 degree angle legs and hexagonal top of a small accent table designed for the Dining Pavilion of the San Marcos in the Desert Hotel.
